HSBC's Workplace Retirement Services has announced the features of its new Fund Platform, an investment only platform designed to help trustees of larger unbundled trust based DC pension schemes. It allows trustees and scheme administrators to buy, sell and switch a wide range of investment funds online, easily, cost effectively and securely and offers funds from HSBC, third party managers and bespoke white label funds.

HSBC aims to become a leading player in the UK group pensions market over the next five years. It is launching a new business, Workplace Retirement Services (WRS), which will work with employee benefit consultants and corporate IFAs to offer employers a range of defined contribution (DC) pension products and services. The business will offer contract-based group personal and group stakeholder pensions for employers.
